The Kidde K7DCO carbon monoxide (CO) detector continuously monitors the presence of poisonous carbon monoxide in homes or businesses, thus providing protection against its deadly effects. In addition to the three control LED indicators, it also has an LCD display, which continuously displays measured CO values and other status information. The detector can be firmly installed on the wall or simply placed freely on a table, shelf or other horizontal surface for better convenience. It is an ideal security element and reliable protection against this silent killer not only for households, but also in rented accommodation, on holidays, when traveling in motorhomes, caravans, trailers or boats. The approval corresponds to the latest ČSN -EN50291:2018 standards for home carbon monoxide detectors.
The Kidde K7DCO CO leak detector is equipped with an industrial sensor with a 10-year warranty. Its operating time is thus 40% longer than that of most conventional CO alarms normally offered on our market.
After 10 years of protection, the device announces the end of its useful life and conveys the information that it needs to be replaced.
Kidde carbon monoxide detectors are equipped with two buttons:
Weekly test / reset, which is intended to test and verify the correct operation of the device and its reset
Max. concentrations that are used to display the highest measured CO level detected since the device's memory was reset.
Newly, the device also offers a function that informs about the activation of the alarm in the last 14 days, thanks to which the user can make sure that even during his absence, no unwanted concentration of carbon monoxide was recorded by the detector.
The condition of the sensor, batteries and internal circuits is automatically monitored by a microprocessor-controlled security system. In the event of detection of a malfunction, any operational anomaly or low capacity of the power batteries, this condition will be signaled optically by means of a yellow LED indicator with the display of the corresponding information on the LCD display, accompanied by the appropriate alarm acoustic signal.
In addition, the Kidde K7DCO detector is equipped with a simulation test function to quickly check the correct response of the CO sensor to the test gas.
Thanks to the special design, it is not necessary to fix the device on the wall in the room, but it is also possible to freely place the detector on flat surfaces, such as a bedside table, a shelf, etc. apartments, but also in caravans, caravans and boats.
