Replacement of sand in sand filters.
An important factor for pool water maintenance is proper filtration. The simplest are cartridge filters, their disadvantage is quick clogging, short functionality time and incomplete capture of dirt. A more effective option is sand filtration. Sand, as we all know, is an excellent medium for mechanical water filtration. Sand filters have a relatively long service life, they are changed approx. 1-2 times in two years. The Laguna Aqua-filter product brings something extra. It not only has the same efficiency as sand - a mechanical filter, but its active surface acts as a sorbent, so it is able to remove dissolved chemical impurities from the water. The water filtered in this way is of significantly better quality than from sand filtration, and among other things, it facilitates the use of pool chemistry. Once every two years, the filter cartridge needs to be regenerated using a saline solution.
Use:
The sand in the filter can easily be replaced with Laguna Aqua-filter, which does not require any technically demanding filters or special equipment. In addition, the use of Laguna Aqua-filter will reduce the cost of maintaining the pool water, increase the effect of chlorination, thereby reducing the amount of active chlorine required by up to 30%. Odors in pools and skin irritation will be reduced. The ability of Laguna Aqua-filter to capture impurities is many times higher than that of other filter media because it uses three mechanisms: mechanical filtration, surface filtration and ion exchange.

Instructions for use:
First wash the Laguna Aqua-filter in a container with water, let it settle and then drain the water to remove dust particles and prevent them from being washed into the pool water. Then pour the wet filling into the filter and wash the filter filling with water outside the pool.
Laguna Aqua-filter regeneration:
After two years, the Laguna Aqua-filter cartridge is soaked in a 10% salt solution (1 kg NaCl for every 10 liters) for 6 - 12 hours. After this time, the regenerated filter is washed and rinsed with water outside the pool. The filter is now ready for further operation.
