The CTEK CT5 TIME TO GO charger is the world's first fully automatic car battery charger that shows when your battery will be charged. A group of seven LED indicators show the different charge levels and time until the battery is charged. The LEDs also display information when it is safe to try to start and when the battery will be fully charged. The patented algorithm makes it possible to evaluate the degree of discharge and also to estimate the size of the battery being charged. The integrated temperature sensor further compensates the charging voltage according to the ambient temperature.
The charger is designed for all types of lead batteries (WET, MF, Ca/Ca, AGM and GEL). CT5 TIME TO GO offers 3 optional charging programs. "NORMAL" mode for standard charging of WET, MF, Ca/Ca and GEL lead-acid batteries. The "AGM" mode for AGM batteries and the "RECOND" mode designed for the regeneration of heavily discharged batteries and helps to prevent stratification of the electrolyte in the battery. As with other chargers, the emphasis here is on ease of use and safety. The charger does not spark and is protected against short circuits. It is possible to use it as a maintenance source and leave it permanently connected to the battery without risk.
