The OptiMate Smart Solar System includes a weatherproof solar panel and the OptiMate Solar Intelligent Combined Charger and Monitor Controller that charges and maintains the 12V battery during the day and monitors and displays battery charge status at night. The solar panel's wide spectrum polycrystalline technology generates energy even in low light, which the OptiMate control unit converts into current pulses more efficient for charging and maintaining the 12V battery. At night, the smart controller turns into a battery monitor that provides battery information every 3 seconds on an easy-to-read LED panel.
CHARGING
Charges discharged batteries from 1 V thanks to a unique pulse action. "Smart charging" - the controller chooses between pulse and continuous charging according to the strength of solar radiation. Intelligent maintenance continues the next day if the battery remains charged overnight, otherwise the program returns to the OPTIMIZE step.
MONITORING
Battery status is displayed every 3 seconds. It draws less than 0.5mA during monitoring mode. If the solar power is sufficient, it will automatically switch to charging.
CONSTRUCTION
The OptiMate charger and monitoring controller is separate from the solar panel and can be placed near the vehicle or battery for easy monitoring of charging and maintenance progress. The solar panel must be mounted and tilted to receive direct sunlight.
